A Glimpse at Blackjack Software Developers - The Rest
Last post I gave a background on the Top Five Blackjack Software Developers at the moment. There are three more noteworthy blackjack software developers that are used by many online casinos. Although it was my original intent to stick with the five I listed before I realized that it would be unfair not to mention these three.

Before going any further please note that though I won’t be mentioning or discussing any proprietary casinos it doesn’t mean that their software is crap. If anything there are some really great propriety casinos out there (which as I said I won’t be mentioning). I simply decided not to include them since each proprietary casino of course has its own software made specially for them and since this entry is supposed to be about the software developers I think it will just be right to focus on the the developers that lease out their software to many (or at least more thatn one) casinos. Discussing a single casino’s software won’t do any good since I want to educate you on how to choose a casino depending on the software. Maybe I’ll just do a post on the top proprietary blackjack casinos next time.

Back to our topic the three noteworthy software developers are:
Realtime Gaming Software (RTG) - RTG powered casinos are known for providing a very fast and really great gaming experience. The downside is that a lot of shady casinos are known for using RTG software. You might have a great time playing but come payout time you might get headaches as well. This doesn’t have anything to say about software quality but it does reflect on how selective RTG is of their clientele. I would recommend that you simply play free games here or that you keep your account really small. The cool thing about playing blackjack with RTG software is that the number of decks is configurable, although the default number is 2.
Odds On - The Odds On software is not the greatest out there but has a nice enough graphics and sounds. It has the standard nice features though I won’t say it stands out. The funny thing is that even though there are other better casinos out there in terms of the software most Odds On casinos are very popular. Apparently their popularity stems from their excellent customer service and great bonuses and prmotions, which simply goes to show that even though your software provides the meat the other factors matter a lot. Odds On offers a standard blackjack game using four decks and a Progressive Blackjack games which features a $1 side bet.
Net Entertainment - Casinos that use Net Entertainment software are quite unique in that the software are all Java-based so that downloading is not required. Net Entertainment is the top software provider when it comes to the InstaPlay or no download field in the online gambling industry. Unlike Playtech and RTG casinos, which suffer from questionable casinos, Net Entertainment casinos are known for their security, reliability, and fast payouts. There are only two blackjack tables in Net Entertainment casinos - the lower limit table and the higher limit table - both using four decks.
