Bonuses/Promotions

Intercasino has great bonuses and promotion although they are not all geared just for blackjack players. Some promotions and bonuses can be availed by ALL real money players regardless of the game you play, while some are game-specific.

Some of their ongoing bonuses and promotion include:

Lifetime/Welcome Bonus - A special bonus for this month (an the month has almost ended…so get the bonus before it’s gone!). Players, both old and new, can get a free $100 bonus.

Where’s Ryan H? - This one is really fun. Intercasino manager, Ryan Hartley, goes around visiting multi-player tables each weekend. This is multi-player tables for different games…so you don’t really know which one he’ll be visiting. The lucky player(s) he meets gets cash prizes from him. So on weekend I suggest that you definitely play Multi-Player Blackjack instead of the other blackjack games.

Tournaments Royale - You can play tournament blackjack at Intercasino during their special events. Tournaments Royale also feature tournaments of other casino games so make sure you join a blackjack tournament and not some other game. Check the website for monthly schedule.

Competition Kings - For top wagerers only. You can get the chance to be crowned Intercasino King or Queen.

Monday Madness! - Each Monday Intercasino has some surprise promotion for their players. So log in every Monday to see if there’s one waiting for blackjack players.

$20 Question - Played every Thursday, 10 randomly chosen players are given 20 free credits.

Inter Challenge - This month the Inter Challenge was and will be held on the 14th and the 28th. All you need to do is wager $200 on the game of the day and you’ll get an extra 25 credits whether you win or lose. Of course you’ll also need to answer the Trivia. If you miss the upcoming Inter Challenge you can always wait for the one scheduled next month.

Cashback Club - Intercasino’s loyalty program. For more details visit the Intercasino website. For now all you need to know is that you get points EACH TIME you place a wager of $10.

Jackpots - No need to explain. Jackpots for winning the jackpot in ANY game.

Customer Service
Very good customer service. Their Help page contains a link to other useful pages like the Getting Started (for newbies), FAQs, Game Rules (with Strategy Tables to be found in many games), Contact Us (for those who need customer support), Bug Report, and My Promotions. Customer support includes a 24/7 email and phone support. Email addresses vary for different concerns and there are international numbers for people from all over the world to call. Most numbers given are toll free except for some that start with 00 357. Check the website for the number to call from your country.

They also have a page about Arbitration, System Requirements, and Responsible Gaming. An Arbitration page is a very rare thing to see in an online casino. Arbitration for Intercasino is provided by Casinomeister.

Global Player Casino - The Finest Multi-player Casino on the Net

Bonuses/Promotions
Global Casino Player offers the usual Welcome or Start-up Bonus and Refer a Friend Program. It also has a Comp program where players get comp points for each wager using real money, whether the bet is won or lost. The number of comp points awarded for each kind of game differs. VIP members get higher comp points for the same games played while the High Rollers get even higher comp points. For specific bonus and comp point details it is advised that you read the Bonus 2007 section where the bonus policy for the year is outlined very clearly. Aside from getting big comp point members of the VIP and High Roller groups are also allowed to increase their credit card limit although the adjustment varies for each person. There are monthly promotions that usually accompany certain events, which of course vary for each month. For this month, promotions happen on the 8th (International Womens’ Day), the 16th (Freaky Friday), the 17th (St. Patrick’s Day), and the 21st (Spring Cleaning at Global Player). There are also daily specials for different games.

Customer Support
Global Player Casino has a great customer support. It supports 10 languages with English as the default language. Detailed help topics can be accessed anytime by simply clicking the F1 button. Their Help Section is very detailed and well organized. There’s a great tutorial for all the four games. For blackjack players help topics include:

Features and Screenshots

Placing Your Bet

General Rules

Overview of our Variations

Box and Table Limits

A closer look at our seven Blackjack Variations:

o Las Vegas Strip
o Las Vegas Downtown
o Atlantic City
o Reno
o Spanish 21
o Baden-Baden
o Double Exposure

Frequently Asked Questions

The rules for each blackjack variation is spelled out. More importantly they provide the basic strategy tables for each of the variations. This amazes me because even though most casinos provide a basic tutorial for blackjack and their other games it is very rare for the casinos to go as far as provide strategy tables. Sure you can find strategy tables all over the net but it is not so easy to find one that fits the specific rules of each game variation. Though this might not be a big deal to seasoned players beginners and intermediate players will find the tables very useful.

Aside from the great Help section Global Player ensures good customer service by providing toll free phone hotlines for players from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, and Switzerland. Players from other countries are given a shared hotline although international rates apply for each call. For those who don’t want to spend money on these calls you need not worry since all you need to do is provide your basic information and they’ll call you back to address your concern. Other ways to contact Global Player Casino are through email and fax.

For the Love of Antigua
One of the nice things I noticed about Global Player Casino is their pride in Antigua. They actually dedicate an entire section to Antigua with links to the best Nightclubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Sights and Sounds, Guides, etc. People interested in visiting Antigua will do well to use Global Player Casino as a starting point in their research. How weird yet wonderful is that?

Ok. So that last post got you interested didn’t it? Who doesn’t like freebies anyway? Just a reminder though comps aren’t exactly freebies since you only get them if the casino sees that they’re raking in lots of money out of you.

If you really really want to get comps anyway the best thing you can do is to buy Max Rubin’s book Comp City, which exposes the unique comp system of casinos. In the book you will read techniques used by Max Rubin, who calls himself the “Undisputed Overweight Comp Champion of the World”, to manipulate the casinos into thinking that you are wagering more chips than you actually do and thus get more comps. Just make sure you buy the revised edition since it contains significant updates on comp policies of casinos all over the United States.

In the meantime though, while you still don’t have the book in your hands, we can follow some of the advice Max Rubin gives in his website regarding comps. I have chosen some of my favorites among his tips and written down my two cents worth for your reading pleasure and to. of course, help point you in the right direction as you seek comps.

1. Ask for comps - In the last post I said that if you ask for comps outright you would probably get a NO for an answer. This is true but according to Max RUbin you should ask anyway not to actually get the comp (although in rare cases you probably will) but so you can find out HOW to get comps. If you ask the pit bosses they would say NO but at the same time you can follow up with a “What do I have to do to get comps around here anyway?”, and that they will answer. Remember different casinos have different comp policies so knowing the policy of the casino you’re at is very important.

2. Play Blackjack - Although you can actually get comps for playing ANY game in the casino and wagering enough money Max Rubin suggests that you play blackjack. Blackjack is one of the easiest casino games to master so that if you are a beginner you have a faster chance of learning the ropes when you play blackjack as opposed to other games. Of course you can always play slots, which doesn’t take any mastering at all, but then you’ll always be under Lady Luck’s mercy. With blackjack you can improve your game to be able to gain advantage so that you can get more comps than you actually merit as the casino’s policy sees it.

3. Bet more when the pit boss is watching and less when he’s not - This makes much sense and is very easy to implement. Just make sure you do it discreetly or that you don’t bust your bankroll trying to impress the pit boss. You want to create an illusion that you are a high roller because they of course get more comps since the more you bet the more you’re supposed to lose. Of course betting less when he’s not around ensures that you still manage your bankroll properly don’t get carried away and really become a high roller.

Blackjack is a game with simple rules and is pretty easy to explain even to beginners. Beginners cocky with their newfound knowledge of blackjack might be surprised to join a game and find some rules to be different. This is because, like most betting games, there are many variations of blackjack. The variations differ in the number of decks used, on whether the dealer will stand or hit on a soft 17, in rules regarding doubling, splitting, and peeking.

For those not very familiar with the different variations of blackjack here’s a short list of the common blackjack variations and their individual rules. Since there are so many variations I will just mention 7 for now.

1. European Blackjack

The European Blackjack is played with two decks of cards. The house edge for European Blackjack is 0.39%. It’s rules are:

Dealer stands on soft 17

Double on 9 to 11 only

No doubling after splitting

No resplitting

Player may draw to split aces

No surrender

Full no peek / No hole card(player loses total amount bet against dealer blackjack)

Insurance not resolved until end of hand

One bet position

2. Multi-hand Blackjack

Multi-hand Blackjack is played with 5 decks of cards. The house edge for Multi-hand Blackjack is 0.57%. It’s rules are:

Dealer stands on soft 17

Double on 9 to 11 only

No doubling after splitting

No resplitting

Player may draw to split aces

No surrender

Full no peek / No hole card(player loses total amount bet against dealer blackjack)

Insurance not resolved until end of hand

Five bet positions

3. Vegas Strip Blackjack

Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with 4 decks of cards. The house edge for Vegas Strip Blackjack is 0.36%. It’s rules are:

Dealer stands on soft 17

Double on any first two cards

Double after split allowed

Resplit to three hands

Dealer peeks for blackjack

One bet position

4. Vegas Downtown Blackjack

Vegas Downtown Blackjack is played with 2 decks of cards. The house edge for Vegas Downtown Blackjack is 0.40%. It’s rules are:

Dealer hits on soft 17

Double on any first two cards

Double after split allowed

Resplit to three hands

Dealer peeks for blackjack

One bet position

5. Atlantic City Blackjack

Atlantic City Blackjack is played with 8 decks of cards. The house edge for Atlantic City Blackjack is 0.365%. It’s rules are:

Dealer stands on soft 17

Double on any first two cards

Double after split allowed

Resplit to three hands

Dealer peeks for blackjack

Late surrender allowed

One bet position

6. Bonus Blackjack

Bonus Blackjack has the same rules as Vegas Downtown Blackjack from the number of decks used (2 decks) down to the numerb of bet positions (1 bet position). Their only difference is that in Bonus Blackjack you can opt to place a side-bet that can pay up to 50 to 1. The house edge for this side bet is 6.46% so that it is considered quite risky though it can also pay handsomely.
